Netherlands (German manufacture) / early 20th century

An antique Dutch M/1912 infantry officer sabre with lion-headed brass hilt and nickel-plated steel scabbard. The black bakelite grip is finished with brass wiring. An original portepe is attached. The steel blade is etched ‘YZERHOUWER’ and marked by the Solingen manufacturer F.W. Höller on the ricasso. The leather washer is intact. The sword is in good vintage condition with minor signs of wear.
