FINNISH WWII CROSS OF LIBERTY 4TH CLASS 1939 WITH SWORDS

DESCRIPTION
An original Finnish WWII medal, the 4th class Cross of Liberty with swords, awarded for the merits of the Finnish Winter War (1939-1940). The medal is of black-lacquered iron with silvered details attached with the red-and-white fabric ribbon. The medal is designed by the famous Akseli Gallen-Kallela. This example is one of 14 971 crosses awarded.

CONDITION
The medal is in good vintage condition with some signs of wear and loss of black lacquer paint.
