FINNISH WWI CROSS OF LIBERTY 2ND CLASS 1918 WITH SWORDS

DESCRIPTION
An original Finnish WWI medal, the 2nd class Cross of Liberty (Vapaudenristi) with swords, awarded for the merits of the Finnish War of Independence (1918). The medal is of white-enameled silver with gilded details attached with the red-and-yellow fabric ribbon. The medal is designed by the famous Akseli Gallen-Kallela. This example is one of 750 crosses manufactured.

CONDITION
The medal is in untouched antique condition with some wear on the gilding and damage on the white enamel.
