FINNISH WWII MEDAL OF LIBERTY 1ST CLASS 1939

DESCRIPTION
An original Finnish WWII medal, the 1st class Medal of Liberty (Vapaudenmitali), awarded for the merits of the Finnish Winter War (1939-1940). The medal is of low-grade silver without hallmarks, attached with the white-and-blue fabric ribbon. The medal is designed by the famous Akseli Gallen-Kallela. This example is one of 11 720 medals manufactured.

The medal is in good vintage condition with minor signs of wear.
