FINNISH M/1919 ‘GALLEN-KALLELA’ DRESS KNIFE

DESCRIPTION
An antique Finnish M/1919 NCO military dress knife designed by the famous Akseli Gallen-Kallela and manufactured by Hackman Finland, approximately in the 1920s. The nickeled steel handle is fitted with chequered black-painted wooden grip scales, typical for the NCO model. The unfullered, clip-pointed steel blade is marked by the manufacturer The black-painted steel scabbard comes with a leather belt strap.

CONDITION
The knife is in good antique condition with small signs of age and wear. The blade has some dark pitting and the scabbard paint is partly worn off. The knife fits well in its scabbard.
