SAUDI ARABIAN 1950S NAVAL OFFICER SABRE

DESCRIPTION
A vintage navy officer sword manufactured probably in the mid 20th century for the Saudi Arabian army. The brass hilt features the coat of arms of Saudi Arabia. The grip is of bone-coloured bakelite with damaged brass wiring. The slightly curved steel blade is beautifully etched with floral decorations and Saudi emblem. The leather washer is attached and the ricasso is marked by the Solingen German manufacturer, Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. The gilded steel scabbard features two belt loops.

CONDITION
The sword is in used vintage condition with small signs of age and overall wear. The grip wiring is worn off and the hilt is slightly loose. The sword fits well in its scabbard.
