FINNISH WWII DOG TAG OF THE CONTINUATION WAR 1941-1944

DESCRIPTION
A vintage Finnish WWII-era zinc alloy dog tag used as a military ID in the Finnish Army. This bone-shaped type was used during the Finnish Continuation War 1941-1944. The original cotton cord is still attached. This example probably dates from the later years of the war, as the material is heavier zinc casting rather than aluminum, and the number is relatively high.

CONDITION
The item is in very good vintage condition. The cotton cord is still light-coloured and it may never have been worn around the neck.
