An original antique hilt of the French Modèle An XI light cavalry sabre, a model introduced in Napoleonic France in 1802–1803. The triple-arched brass hilt has a leather-covered wooden grip. The crossguard is marked with three stamps: 13 H G. A 32 cm fragment of the original wide-fullered steel blade remains attached to the hilt. The blade has no visible markings. The tip of the blade and the original leather washer are missing.

CONDITION
The hilt is in untouched antique condition with some signs of age and overall wear. The leather cover of the grip is apparently an old replacement. The blade fragment is slightly bent and loose.
