FINNISH M/1919-22 ‘GALLEN-KALLELA’ NCO DRESS KNIFE

DESCRIPTION
An antique Finnish M/1919-22 NCO military dress knife designed by famous Akseli Gallen-Kallela and manufactured by Alex Coppel workshop in Solingen, Germany, probably in the 1920s. The nickeled steel handle is fitted with chequered black-painted wooden grip scales, typical for the NCO model. The fullered, clip-pointed nickel-plated steel blade is marked by the manufacturer. The steel scabbard is black-painted and comes with the original leather belt strap.

CONDITION
The knife is in very good antique condition with small signs of age and wear. The black colour in the grip scales and scabbard seem to be original. The blade shows slight marks of sharpening. The knife fits well in its scabbard.
