760,00

DESCRIPTION
An antique Indo-Persian spearhead, probably manufactured in Northern India during the 18th century and intended for use with a light djerid (jerid) javelin. The spearhead is forged from steel with a tapered socket and a robust, hollow-ground blade reinforced towards the tip. The socket and the base of the blade are richly decorated with gold koftgari inlay.

CONDITION

The spearhead is in good antique condition with some signs of age and overall wear. A considerable amount of the original gold koftgari decoration remains intact. The extreme tip of the blade is bent and the socket is still filled with a piece of an old shaft.
