Dagger carried en suite with rapier for parrying opponents blades. These daggers usually have a small quillon ring and a stiff diamond-sectioned blade or a multifullered blade that ends to a pointy sparrow peak tip to ensure powerful piercing through opponents’ thick doublets (protective tunic). Our dagger has a large downcurved crossguard pointing a bit towards the opponent. The blade is a stiff diamond section-type with a flat ricasso to ensure a place for the user’s thumb. Original grip is missing. Excavated condition.
