NCO OFFICER SWORD M/1922
Finland (German manufacture) / mid 20th century

A vintage Finnish M/1922 NCO officer sword with bakelite-gripped brass hilt and black-painted steel scabbard. The pattern was designed by Akseli Gallen-Kallela. An original portepe is attached. The steel blade is marked by the Solingen manufacturer F.W. Höller on the ricassso. The leather washer is intact. The sword is in good vintage condition with minor signs of wear. The scabbard has a few (glue?) stains which didn’t not come off with conventional cleaning.
