CAVALRY OFFICER SABER M/1893

A rare variation of the Swedish M/1893 cavalry officer sabre made for the Swedish volunteers of the Finnish Liberation War 1918. The variation is distinguished by the brass hilt which is lacking the Swedish heraldic crown. The leather-covered grip is finished with brass wiring. The steel blade is marked by the manufacturer, E. Svalling, Eskilstuna. The leather washer is attached. The blued steel scabbard has small military markings on the reverse side and manufacturer markings on the chape. The sword is in good antique condition with minor signs of wear.
