FINNISH WWII DOG TAG OF THE CONTINUATION WAR

DESCRIPTION
A vintage Finnish WWII-era aluminium dog tag used as a military ID in the Finnish Army. This bone-shaped type was used during the Finnish Continuation War 1941-1944. The original cotton cord is unfortunately not remaining anymore. However, the tag is followed by an interesting letter documentation dated in 1944 and stamped by the Finnish Military Forces. According to the letter, the tag was found at Kuopio railway station after which it was sent to the ecclesiastical department at the Finnish Military Headquarters.

CONDITION
The item and the papers are in good vintage condition with small signs of age and wear.
