An original Finnish WWII medal, the 2nd class Medal of Liberty (Vapaudenmitali) with the Red Cross, awarded for the merits of the Finnish Continuation War (1941-1945). The medal is of bronze with red-enameled cross, attached with the red-and-yellow fabric ribbon. The medal is designed by the famous Akseli Gallen-Kallela. This example is one of 8 400 medals manufactured.
