GERMAN DAMASCENED HUNTING SABRE

GERMANY, c. 1750–1800

A rococo-style hunting sabre or hirschfänger with a fire gilt bronze hilt and a curved damascus blade. The sword is in good antique condition with some wear on the hilt gilding and minor pitting on the blade.
