INDIAN SILVER-HILTED KARD DAGGER

A fine, silver-hilted Indian kard-dagger. The steel blade has a tight and intricate damascus pattern and a strong, T-shaped back. The handle and scabbard mounts are decorated with floral patterns and heart-shaped decorations. Original scabbard is made of wood and covered with red cloth. The top scabbard mount is a little loose, but the blade fits well in its scabbard. Group of small chained bells are attached to the top of the handle. This beautiful dagger of big proportions is clearly production of the Mughal region of North India.
