DESCRIPTION
An original antique M/1891 knife bayonet manufactured by Fabbrica d’Armi di Terni for use with the 6.5mm M/1891 Mannlicher-Carcano rifles and carbines. The handle has a two-part wooden grip and the scabbard is of brass-mounted black leather. The ricasso is stamp-marked by the manufacturer and the crossguard is numbered ‘II5449’. The scabbard is dated 1913.

CONDITION
The bayonet is in good antique condition with small signs of age and wear. The locking button is working well. The knife fits well in its scabbard when inserted ‘wrong way’. When inserted the right way up, it fits very tightly and leaves a small gap between the scabbard and the handle.
