Beautiful antique ornate scissors dagger fully damascened in gold koftgari work. These traveling scissors or ‘scribers’ are made with detachable brass finger loops so they could be easily carried in small accessory traveling cases. The blades are hollowed hardened and blued. When closed, the scissors are forming sturdy effective blade for stabbing and even piercing armoured shirts. While used normally, they perform excellent as regular scissors even today. Common part of the traveling sets and often described carried by women as non-regulated accessory but working as effective weapon.
