DUTCH RONDEL DAGGER
THE NETHERLANDS, c. 1500–1540
A Renaissance wheel-pommeled rondel dagger in excavated, channel find condition. The dagger has a nicely decorated faceted bronze grip with a flat crossguard section and heavy wheel pommel. The triangular blade has one fuller. Unusual wheel pommels like this example can be found in the National Military Museum of the Netherlands.
